50,000 Indonesians banned from entering Saudi Arabia

THE Indonesian government announced that 50,000 Indonesian citizens were banned from entering Saudi Arabia for the next five years due to problems they had in the Middle Eastern country, the Jakarta Post quoted a minister as saying today.
"Those troubled Indonesian citizens have their fingerprints documented by the Saudi Arabian government and cannot return for the next five years," Coordinating Public Welfare Minister Agung Laksono said.
Agung said that 70 percent of those 50,000 were former Indonesian migrant workers and the rest were people who went to Saudi Arabia on a minor hajj and then worked there, or those who entered Saudi Arabia through various other methods.
From that number, 25,000 have been and are being returned to Indonesia by the Saudi government.
