An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale jolted Afghanistan's Hindu Kush region at 21:07:22 GMT yesterday, the US Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 207.40km, was initially determined to be at 36.4414 degrees north latitude and 70.7419 degrees east longitude.
