AT least six people were killed and several others injured in a drone strike early this morning in the troubled North Waziristan tribal area, northwest Pakistan, local sources said.

According to details the unmanned American spy plane fired four missiles at a house in Haider Khel area of the rugged tribal region bordering Afghanistan, which the Untied States call as an "epicenter" of terrorism.

The North Waziristan has also been nominated as stronghold of Haqqani and Hafiz Gul Bahadur and other Taliban and Al-Qaeda militants, the prime target of the US-led war against terror.

Five drone planes are taking flights over the rugged mountainous area creating panic among the residents, local sources said.
