AN earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale jolted Solomon Islands at 4:16 GMT today, according to the China Earthquake Network Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 80 km, was monitored at 10.3 degrees south latitude and 161.2 degrees east longitude, the center said in a statement.
