7.2-magnitude earthquake jolts South Pacific islands: CENC

A 7.2-magnitude earthquake hit the Santa Cruz Islands in the South Pacific at 10:27am on Saturday, said the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 10.4 degrees south latitude and 165.2 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 20 km, according to the CENC.
