Abe says Japan's future generations unnecessary to keep apologizing for wartime atrocities

PRIME Minister Shinzo Abe on Friday mentioned the Japanese government's previous apology, but added that it is unnecessary for Japan's future generations to keep apologizing for its atrocities during World War II.

In a statement marking the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII, Abe said Japan has apologized for the previous war and the country will maintain stances of the previous governments.
