Algerian bombs

THE Algerian state news agency says two roadside bombs exploded in eastern Algeria, killing seven people hours after the president said he would run for a third term. The APS agency reported yesterday that a first roadside bomb blew up late on Thursday at Foum El-Metlag, near Algeria's eastern border with Tunisia, killing four members of a family. A second device exploded when rescue services arrived, killing two police officers and a firefighter.
