NORTH Korea leader Kim Jong Un is now "first chairman" of the top state body while his father, Kim Jong Il, has been named "chairman for eternity," according to state media.
The announcement of Kim as first chairman of the National Defense Commission was made during a massive gathering in Pyongyang attended by Kim and other senior officials yesterday.
The rally came just hours after the failed North Korean rocket launch.
