FRENCH anti-terrorism forces carried out raids in cities nationwide yesterday, and one suspect was killed in a shootout, officials said.
At least seven people were arrested in the investigation into the firebombing of a kosher grocery outside Paris last month, according to Sipa news agency. Police union official Mohamed Douhane said a suspect in Strasbourg opened fire when police arrived and they returned fire, killing him. He said no officers were badly hurt as they wore bulletproof vests.
