MH370 may have turned south earlier than previously thought

SATELLITE phone data suggests Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 may have turned south earlier than previously thought, CNN reported, citing Australian Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss.

The information hasn't changed the priority search area for the plane in the southern Indian Ocean, Truss said.

Flight 370 disappeared on March 8 with 239 people on board. Months of searching have so far turned up no debris from the plane, according to the report.
