Australia carbon laws to pass eventually: govt

AUSTRALIA'S planned carbon trade laws will pass parliament in the face of concerted opposition "one way or the other", Climate Change Minister Wong said today.

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd's centre-left government faces a difficult week in parliament, with conservatives holding the largest upper house Senate bloc expected to join with Green and independents on Thursday to defeat Labor's carbon trade scheme.
