Australian fund acquires nearly 30-pct of Vienna airport
AUSTRALIA'S fund manager IFM Investors is to acquire 29.9 percent of the Vienna International Airport after striking a new deal with shareholders, IFM announced on Friday.
Under the deal, the price of a share was raised from a previous offer of 97.8 U.S. dollars to 100 dollars, said IFM, adding the total shares owned by IFM would amount to 6.279 million shares.
IFM Investors would pay nearly 630 million dollars to the shareholders by Dec. 23. The other two primary shareholders, the City of Vienna and the state of Lower Austria, each hold a 20-percent share of the airport.
IFM Investors Investment Director Werner Kerschl called the offer "fair and attractive," and said IFM was pleased with the deal.
