SILVIO Berlusconi is dismissing suggestions he might quit over a sex scandal by saying he is Italy's best premier.
Berlusconi also gave his fullest version yet of the scandal, saying he had been the "victim" of someone who wanted to create a "scandal." Admitted call girl Patrizia D'Addario claims she tape-recorded Berlusconi during a night she says they spent together at the premier's home.
Berlusconi said yesterday he was considering taking legal action against her.
He was responding to a question during a news conference with Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero in Sardinia.
Berlusconi has been under fire since his wife sought a divorce because of his fondness for younger women.
