Body of Romanian found at waterfall
A ROMANIAN university student has been found dead, three days after he went missing while swimming at a popular waterfall in the northern Philippines.
Regional civil defense chief Olive Luces said the body of George Sfintes, 22, was found yesterday in a pool at the Tappiya Falls in Ifugao province's Banaue township. The area is popular with tourists who hike on mountain trails with a view of famous rice terraces. Sfintes, a student at a Japanese university, had been with 10 Western and Japanese visitors.
