Bombs found

NORTHERN Ireland police say they discovered two bombs in separate security alerts, forcing dozens of people to be evacuated from their homes. Officers said yesterday about 80 people had to leave their properties in the Ballygomartin Road area of north Belfast after a device was discovered on Friday under a parked car. Chief Inspector Ian Campbell said army experts defused the bomb, blaming dissident Irish nationalists. Police also confirmed a second device was defused on Thursday in the town of Newry, close to the Irish border.
