BRITISH police say they have arrested eight people in connection with alleged bribes paid by the country's media to police and other public officials. Police said yesterday that the eight were detained following information provided to detectives by the management standards committee of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. Among those arrested are a serving police officer and a female employee at the Ministry of Defense.
