British woman arrested after children's bodies found

POLICE have arrested a woman on suspicion of murder after the bodies of two children were found in a car in Sussex.
The 43-year-old woman, said by media to be the children's mother, was held after visiting a police station to report an incident yesterday morning.
Officers then discovered the bodies of a boy and girl, both aged under 5, after breaking into a car in Heathfield.
Police said the woman and the children were "known to each other."
The woman, from Surrey but said to have local connections, was taken to hospital after suffering from "apparent self-harm injuries". She is in a stable position, police said.
"This is a very tragic incident, but I would like to reassure people that it is fully contained and there is no threat to anyone in the area," said Chief Inspector Julia Pope.
