Celebrity marriage ends in divorce

THE marriage of British "X Factor" judge and pop singer Cheryl Cole and her England soccer player husband Ashley ended in divorce after four years yesterday.
The couple, who married in 2006, separated in February following newspaper allegations about the Chelsea player, and Cheryl filed for divorce in May.
Newspaper reports said she had cited "unreasonable behavior of her husband" after a string of claims about his infidelity. Cheryl, 27, rose to fame as a member of the band "Girls Aloud" which was formed from a reality TV show. She has since embarked on a solo career and is now one of Britain's best-known celebrities because of her role on the X Factor talent show.
Defender Ashley, 29, began his career with Arsenal before moving to London rivals Chelsea in 2006.
