China in call for calm

CHINA called on all parties involved in the continuing Gaza Strip conflict to exercise calm yesterday.
"We strongly urge all parties, Israel in particular, to show maximum restraint, reach an immediate cease-fire, and avoid taking any actions to escalate the situation," Foreign Minstry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said.
