Chinese Reservations
CHINA says it has "serious reservations" about the United Nations resolution authorizing a no-fly zone over Libya and military action to protect civilians against Moammar Gadhafi's forces.
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement yesterday that China opposes using military force in international relations. It said China has consistently stressed respect for Libya's sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity and that the crisis should be resolved through dialogue.
China, Russia, Germany, India and Brazil abstained from Thursday's vote.
