Chinese Tourists Safe From Disasters
AUTHORITIES said the tsunami and volcano eruption on Indonesia have not affected Shanghai tourists, as they rarely went to the areas where the disasters hit.
The Shanghai Tourism Administration said yesterday afternoon that it hasn't received any report of Shanghai tourists being killed or injured in Indonesia.
"Our tourists usually go to Bali to enjoy sunshine and the beach," said Yang Fan, director of the market management department of the administration.
Meanwhile, China's embassy in Indonesia also said that Chinese tourists were safe and well.
