Circus founder calls his trip to space a success
CIRQUE du Soleil founder Guy Laliberte has called his 10-day space mission a great success because it drew attention to his efforts to guarantee access to clean water worldwide.
Laliberte says his US$35 million journey to the International Space Station put his One Drop Foundation on the map.
The one-time stilt-walker and fire-eater said Tuesday that he experienced only one scary moment during the landing, as the Soyuz capsule re-entered the Earth's atmosphere.
Laliberte returned to Earth Sunday with Russian cosmonaut Gennady Padalka and NASA astronaut Michael Barratt. All three spoke at a news conference at Russia's cosmonaut training facility outside Moscow.
