Death Is Turning Point, UN Chief Says
THE death of ousted Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi is historic for the Libyan people, the UN chief said.
"We have all seen the reports of the death of Colonel Moammar Gadhafi and the end of fighting in Sirte and other cities," UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon told a UN development conference. "Clearly, this day marks a historic transition for Libya. Combatants on all sides must lay down their arms in peace."
