Dual explosions

A suicide bomber killed three Afghan soldiers yesterday in an attack on a convoy, police said. The troops were inspecting a highway bridge in Kandahar province for explosives when someone drove a car into the convoy and the vehicle exploded. Police said seven others were also wounded in the blast. Meanwhile, an explosion at a weapons cache killed a six-year-old boy in a nearby village and wounded 20 others, police said.
