Engine failed plane lands safely at JFK airport

AUTHORITIES say a Moscow-bound flight carrying about 200 passengers returned safely to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport after an engine failed. No one was injured.
Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Laura Brown says Delta Flight 30 reported one engine had failed shortly after takeoff last night. According to Delta Air Lines' website, the plane was scheduled to depart at 4:25 pm (2125 GMT)
The Fire Department of New York says more than 100 firefighters responded to the airport to await the plane's arrival.
Brown says the plane dumped fuel before landing at about 5:50 pm (2250 GMT)
FAA spokeswoman Holly Baker says earlier reports of a fire on one of the plane's wings were incorrect.
