Explosion killed Kandahar mayor in south Afghanistan today, an official said.
"An explosion ripped through Municipality department of Kandahar city, the capital of Kandahar province this morning, killing Kandahar Mayor Ghulam Haider Hamidi," spokesman for the provincial administration Zalmai Ayubi told Xinhua.
