Fidel Castro 'looks good,' says Argentine President

ARGENTINE President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner said Fidel Castro looked "very good," after meeting with the former Cuban leader yesterday, according to media reports.

"We talked about everything. He looked very good to me. We talked about the international situation," Kirchner was quoted as saying by Argentina's official news agency, Telam.

"He told me he had followed the inauguration of Barack Obama very closely, that he had watched the inauguration on television all day," she said.

"He had a very good perception of President Obama," she said, adding that Castro told her the new U.S. president seems "like a man who is absolutely sincere."

Kirchner arrived in Cuba on Sunday on the first official visit to Cuba by an Argentine president in 23 years.

After her visit to Cuba, Kirchner will travel to Venezuela yesterday, where she will meet with President Hugo Chavez.
