A fire raced through a hall full of slot machines in central Ukraine early today, killing nine people and injuring 11, the Emergencies Ministry said.
Viktor Krol, ministry spokesman, told Reuters the fire engulfed the hall just before 1 am in the industrial city of Dnipropetrovsk.
"The toll is nine dead and 11 injured," he said. There was no immediate indication what had caused the fire.
