Four killed in two fires in western Japan
FOUR people were killed in two fires that broke out separately in Hiroshima Prefecture and Wakayama Prefecture in western Japan late last night, according to a report reaching here.
Three people died in a fire that gutted a residence and an adjacent barn in the city of Shobara in Hiroshima Prefecture. Local police said the fire which started at 10:50pm, completely burned down the 100 squarer meter residence and barn.
The other fire broke out around 10pm yesterday in Wakayama Prefecture and destroyed the 150 sqaure meter wooden house. The body of a man was recovered while two women were taken to hospital for treatment.
