German couple abandon kids at Italy pizzeria
ITALIAN police are looking for a German couple who abandoned their three children in a pizzeria at the weekend, local media said yesterday.
Waiters in a restaurant in Aosta, northwest Italy, alerted police when they noticed the children - aged eight months, two years and four years - had been left alone at a table after their parents went out for a smoke and never came back.
The parents were later identified as Ina Caterina Remhof, 26, and Sascha Schmidt, 24, Italian news media said.
Police said the parents had a history of drug addiction and had been traveling without luggage.
