Germany: 2 killed as rock falls on house
POLICE say a huge lump of rock has crashed off a cliff onto a house in southern Germany, killing two people.
Some 250 police and rescue officers with sniffer dogs were sent to the scene in Stein an der Traun, southeast of Munich, after the rockfall destroyed the house yesterday evening.
Police said Tuesday that a man and his 18-year-old daughter were killed in the accident. However, officers were able to recover the man's wife and their 16-year-old son alive.
Police said the rock was about the size of a house. It was unclear what caused the rock to fall.
