THE Interstate 5 highway bridge collapsed yesterday evening and dumped vehicles and people into the Skagit River at Mount Vernon in the US Pacific Northwest state of Washington, local media reported.
Media reports reaching here quoted a Washington State Patrol officer as saying that the incident took place about 7 pm local time and its cause was unknown. There have been no reports of any casualties so far.
