Japan Delay Possible
JAPAN'S public broadcaster says US President Barack Obama may delay his arrival in Tokyo to attend a memorial service for those killed in a shooting spree at Fort Hood, Texas, earlier this week.
NHK TV reported Obama, initially scheduled to arrive on Thursday, may delay his arrival. The Japanese Foreign Ministry said an announcement would be made when plans are set.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said the president would attend the still unscheduled memorial service, and his travel plans would be changed accordingly.
Obama was scheduled to leave on Wednesday for Asia.
