Japan starts destroying chemical weapons abandoned in China

The Japanese government announced today that it started destroying chemical weapons abandoned in China during WWII.

Hideo Hiraoka, senior vice minister of Japan's cabinet office, made the announcement on behalf of the Japanese government at a ceremony marking the start of the weapon destruction in the suburbs of eastern Chinese city of Nanjing
