Kim ‘satisfied’ with guided missile tests
KIM Jong Un was present at test launches of newly developed guided missiles, North Korea said yesterday.
State media said the leader was satisfied with the results of the tests of what it called “cutting-edge ultra-precision tactical guided missiles.”
North Korea didn’t say when the launches took place, but they are likely the projectiles Seoul says North Korea fired on Thursday as there have been no other recent firings.
South Korean Defense Ministry spokesman Kim Min-seok said North Korea has been trying to upgrade its large-caliber multiple rocket launch systems in recent years and their range has slightly and gradually increased with each test-launch.
North Korean called the launches “significant” at a time the US and South Korea were “going extremely reckless in the moves to isolate and stifle (North Korea) and unleash a war of aggression.”
