KYRGYZSTAN'S interim government is to sign a decree which will effectively replaces the current constitution, an official of the interim government said late Friday.
Azimbek Beknazarov, deputy prime minister of the opposition-controlled interim government, said that the decree will deprive President Kurmanbek Bakiyev of immunity.
Beknazarov, who oversees the law enforcement and justice systems for the interim government, said the decree is due to be signed in the early hours of Saturday.
According to Beknazarov, the opposition considered Bakiyev deposed, and the new government has launched a criminal case against Bakiyev.
He added that the new authorities have no intention of negotiating with Bakiyev.
Kyrgyz opposition parties on Thursday formed an interim ruling coalition to replace the government of Bakiyev, who has fled to southern Kyrgyzstan after a day of bloody unrest in the capital.
The clashes left at least 76 people dead and 1,520 others injured.
Leader of the Kyrgyz interim government Roza Otunbayeva on Friday called on Bakiyev to resign, but the ousted president refused to step down.
