LOUD explosion was heard today in the central part of the capital Damascus, which was followed by gunshots, witnesses told Xinhua.
The details surrounding the blast were not immediately known, but the blast seems to have occurred some 100 meters away from the Four Seasons hotel, according to witnesses.
