Militants clash

A PAKISTANI official said yesterday that clashes between two Islamic militant groups over control of a valley near the Afghan border have left 24 people dead. The clashes started Friday when Tehrik-e-Taliban captured a base of Ansarul Islam, in the Tirah valley. Ansarul Islam then tried to retake the base. Fighting continued yesterday, said the official.
