Next in line to Saudi throne dies
THE Saudi royal family said Crown Prince Nayef has died in a hospital outside the kingdom. He was in his late 70s.
Funeral prayers for Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz al-Saud will be held after sunset today, the royal court said in a statement yesterday. Burial traditionally follows immediately after prayers. The royal court said Nayef, the next in line to the throne had been ill for months and died in Switzerland where he was being treated. No details were released about his illness.
