JAPAN will not put a cap on the liabilities faced by Tokyo Electric Power Co for damages stemming from its crippled Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant, the government said yesterday.
Under the law, a nuclear plant operator can be exempted from damages caused by a reactor if the accident was triggered by "a grave natural disaster of an exceptional character."
