US President Barack Obama is expected to announce tomorrow tougher safety requirements for off-shore oil drilling, an administration official said yesterday.
The steps are likely to include strengthened inspections of oil rigs. Obama is to speak on the same day he is to receive an Interior Department report about the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.
