Over 500 Chinese evacuees to fly home from Greece
OVER 500 Chinese nationals evacuated from Libya to the Greek island of Crete would fly back home today, a Chinese embassy official said.
The Chinese embassy in Greece would transport these evacuees to the airport by bus, who would go back home on two planes chartered by the Chinese government, said Li Jie, China's defense attache in Greece.
The Greek authorities have offered a lot of help to China's evacuation operation from unrest-hit Libya, said Li.
More than 4,100 Chinese nationals aboard two chartered Greek vessels arrived here Thursday from Libya's Benghazi.
