Pop star died of natural causes
BOYZONE singer Stephen Gately, whose body was found in a house on the Spanish resort island of Mallorca, died of natural causes, according to the autopsy results released yesterday.
A post-mortem showed Irishman Gately died of a pulmonary edema, or fluid in the lungs, the Balearic Islands Superior Justice Tribunal said. Gately was found dead on Saturday in a house where he was staying with his partner, Andrew Cowles. Spanish news reports said the two had been out drinking and the singer choked on his own vomit.
