Premier Accepts War Criminals' Guilt
NEW Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda said yesterday he will stand by the decision of past governments to accept guilty verdicts on World War II war criminals.
Noda added that he would "like to maintain a win-win relationship with Asian countries including China and South Korea."
China has criticized high-profile visits by Japanese leaders to Tokyo's Yasukuni Shrine for the war dead, where war criminals are among those honored.
