Punish Mumbai terrorists, urges Musharraf
PAKISTAN'S former president says anyone involved in last November's terrorist attacks in Mumbai must be punished.
Former President Pervez Musharraf, who resigned in August last year, offered his thoughts on combating terrorism and Islamic extremism during an address on Friday at California's Stanford University.
While calling for punishment for those involved in the attacks, Musharraf also warned that "hysteria" over the deadly siege in India's financial capital threatened stability on the Indian subcontinent.
The Pakistani government has arrested scores of suspects after an investigation linked the attacks to a Pakistan-based militant group.
But many Indian officials say not enough is being done to bring the perpetrators to justice.
