Three people in South Korea were identified as suspected cases of the infection yesterday, but two have tested negative, the director of the South Korean Center for Disease Control, Lee Jong-koo, was quoted as saying by Yonhap.
Another official said: "A person who has travelled to Mexico has been classified as a suspected patient."
The World Health Organisation has warned that the new flu virus, a mixture of swine, human and avian flu viruses that has killed up to 149 people in Mexico, could start a pandemic.
