Singapore Election

FORMER lawmaker Tan Cheng Bock was leading in the Singapore presidential election as of last night. The online edition of Straits Times reported that Tan had 35.4 percent of the vote, while former deputy prime minister Tony Tan had 33.1 percent of the vote. Another candidate, Tan Kin Lian, had conceded defeat earlier.
