Soybeans Deal

A Chinese trade delegation has signed agreements to buy US$1.8 billion worth of soybeans from the United States.

The delegation was in Chicago as part of President Hu Jintao's visit to the US.

The signing ceremony was presided over by Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Wang Chao.

China is the world's largest importer of soybeans while the US is the world's top exporter of the product.
