Space Tourist Back To Earth With A Bump
A Russian spacecraft carrying a crew of three, including United States space tourist Charles Simonyi, landed in Kazakhstan yesterday, officials said.
The Soyuz capsule descended on parachutes and hit the ground in a jarring puff of dust and dirt about three hours after leaving the international space station.
Simonyi, Russian Yuri Lonchakov and American Michael Fincke were extracted still strapped into their seats. Video showed the three smiling and giving the thumbs-up.
