Spanish PM says to sell lottery stake, airports
SPAIN will privatise 30 percent of its state lottery and allow private companies to take up to 49 percent stakes in the country's airports and airport services, Prime Minister Jose Luis Zapatero said today.
In addition, the country's biggest airports, Madrid and Barcelona, would be run privately through concessions, Zapatero told parliament. Both are currently owned by the state.
The new measures are part of the Spanish government's efforts to reduce its debts.
